Grande voz do fado e uma das artistas portuguesas de maior projeção internacional, Carminho volta ao Brasil em 16 de dezembro, no Teatro Bradesco de São Paulo, para apresentar o quarto disco de sua carreira, “Carminho Canta Tom Jobim”, lançado no final de 2016.
Convidada pela própria família de Tom a interpretar composições do mestre brasileiro, Carminho incluiu Marisa Monte, Chico Buarque e Maria Bethânia em um trabalho inesquecível. O álbum tem direção musical e arranjos de Paulo Jobim e chega agora ao Brasil, via Biscoito Fino.
A artista sobe ao palco gabaritada, também, pelo sucesso do disco “Canto”, no qual gravou inédita parceria de Caetano Veloso com seu filho mais novo, Tom. Além dos seus dois primeiros trabalhos (“Fado” e “Alma”), reconhecidos em toda Europa.
Sobre Carminho
Carminho nasceu no meio das guitarras e das vozes do fado, filha da conceituada fadista Teresa Siqueira. Durante a faculdade, cantava em casas de fado e recebeu várias propostas para gravar, mas decidiu esperar. Licenciou-se em marketing e publicidade e percebeu que cantar exigia uma maturidade e um mundo que ainda não tinha. Durante um ano, viajou pelo globo, participou de missões humanitárias e regressou a Lisboa decidida a entregar-se por inteiro a um percurso artístico.
“Fado”, o seu primeiro disco, de 2009, alcançou a platina e abriu os corações de Portugal à sua voz e as portas do mundo ao seu talento: melhor álbum de 2011 para a revista britânica “Songlines”, performances no Womex 2011, em Copenhague, e na sede parisiense da UNESCO, no âmbito da candidatura do fado a patrimônio mundial.
No mesmo ano, colaborou com Pablo Alborán em “Perdoname” e tornou-se a primeira artista portuguesa a atingir o número 1 do top espanhol. Em 2012, o segundo álbum, “Alma”, estreou no primeiro lugar de vendas em Portugal e alcançou posições de destaque em vários tops internacionais.
Depois de passar pelas principais salas da Europa e do mundo, Carminho cantou no Brasil e realizou o sonho de gravar com Milton Nascimento, Chico Buarque e Nana Caymmi, resultando em uma reedição de “Alma” com três novos temas.
No final de 2014, editou “Canto” e a sua relação com o Brasil ganhou raízes ainda mais profundas. Carminha gravou a primeira parceria de Caetano Veloso com o seu filho mais novo, Tom, a inédita “O Sol, Eu e Tu”. “Canto” inclui também dueto com Marisa Monte e participações especiais de Jaques Morelenbaum, António Serrano, Carlinhos Brown, Javier Limón, Naná Vasconcelos, Dadi Carvalho, Jorge Hélder e Lula Galvão.
