54 músicos vão apresentar versão clássica a sucessos de Michael Jackson, nos dias 22 e 23 de fevereiro, no Teatro Bradesco, em São Paulo. “Thriller” completou 35 anos de lançamento e é o disco mais vendido da história.
Após emocionantes apresentações sold out no Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, a Orquestra Petrobras Sinfônica se prepara para encarar um novo desafio em 2018: trazer o espetáculo que encantou a Cidade Maravilhosa para dois shows especiais em São Paulo.
Com regência de Felipe Prazeres, 54 músicos vão executar, nos dias 22 e 23 de fevereiro, no consagrado palco do Teatro Bradesco, a verossímil versão orquestrada de todas as composições de “Thriller”, álbum de Michael Jackson que revolucionou os rumos da indústria fonográfica e completou 35 anos de lançamento em 2017.
Os arranjadores brasileiros Marcelo Caldi, Mateus Freire e Jessé Sadoc assinam a adaptação de sucessos como “Beat It”, “Thriller” e “Billie Jean”.
“Thriller” se consagrou por sua pegada mais eletrônica, de guitarras, teclados e sintetizadores, que influenciou a música na década de 1980. O disco do Rei do Pop se mantém até hoje no topo da lista dos mais vendidos da história, ultrapassando a marca de 110 milhões de cópias.
Este será o segundo concerto da série Álbuns, que em fevereiro lotou casas de espetáculo pelo país com o projeto Ventura Sinfônico, em homenagem ao disco do Los Hermanos, visto por mais de 10 mil pessoas.
A iniciativa é uma das ações da Petrobras Sinfônica que buscam popularizar a música clássica e renovar o público do gênero. Entre as novidades do conjunto, destacam-se a reformulação da identidade visual e a divisão da Temporada 2017 em três mundos: Clássico, Pop e Urbano.
A ORQUESTRA
Fundada em 1972 pelo Maestro Armando Prazeres, a Orquestra Petrobras Sinfônica completa 45 anos de existência, reafirmando o compromisso que lhe deu origem: interpretar a tradição sinfônica sob uma ótica brasileira e atual, com o objetivo de aproximar novos públicos da música de concerto. Dirigida pelo Maestro Isaac Karabtchevsky, referência do cenário musical e “ícone vivo do Brasil” segundo o jornal inglês The Guardian, a orquestra é patrocinada há quase três décadas pela Petrobras e conta com um modelo de gestão inovador no país.
Em sintonia com o trabalho de orquestras como a Filarmônica de Viena, a OPES é o único conjunto sinfônico brasileiro gerido pelos próprios músicos, fator que define sua proposta administrativa, mas também seu jeito de fazer música. A orquestra desenvolve, por meio de suas 60 apresentações anuais, projetos que contemplam o cânone do repertório clássico ao mesmo tempo em que exploram novas conexões e territórios artísticos. Em suas temporadas têm trazido ao Rio de Janeiro solistas e regentes de destaque internacional, como Krzysztof Penderecki, Joshua Bell, Boris Belkin, Sarah Chang, Mischa Maisky e Maria João Pires. Outras iniciativas se somam ao núcleo da programação do conjunto e ampliam o alcance da música de concerto, como os CyberConcertos, em que a orquestra incentiva que os espectadores fotografem e filmem as apresentações, compondo narrativas sobre sua experiência musical em blogs, redes sociais e canais de vídeo.
Em episódios regulares, a TV OPES tem também exibido na internet o cotidiano da orquestra com detalhes sobre o repertório apresentado, o papel de cada naipe e debates inéditos e envolventes. Em 2017, a OPES dá mais um importante passo para a formação de novas gerações de músicos ao implementar, pelo sexto ano, as atividades da Academia Juvenil. O projeto oferece a jovens entre 14 e 20 anos a oportunidade de integrar um programa continuado de aperfeiçoamento técnico, teórico e artístico, respondendo a uma lacuna no processo de sensibilização e capacitação de novos instrumentistas.
OPUS, QUEREMOS E OPES
A parceria entre Opus, Queremos e OPES surgiu a partir do projeto Ventura Sinfônico, em que as marcas queriam viabilizar uma turnê, no ano de 2017. No entanto, com a dificuldade para captar recursos, a alternativa foi investir no financiamento coletivo, contar com o público e manter a estrutura inicialmente idealizada, com Orquestra, dentro do Brasil. O Ventura foi um sucesso, com sessões no Teatro Bradesco, em São Paulo, e no Auditório Araújo Vianna, em Porto Alegre. Seguindo a mesma concepção, surgiu a ideia do Thriller Sinfônico, composto por cerca de 60 pessoas para a realização de dois concertos em 2018. O engajamento do público é um dos fatores que mais reforçam a missão do projeto e faz com que ele siga em frente.
