O grupo conhecido por interpretar composições de Adoniram Barbosa, possui como uma de suas principais características o humor, sobretudo na maneira de cantar. É um dos conjuntos vocais mais ativos da música brasileira – entrou para o Livro Guiness de Recordes, em 1994, como o mais antigo grupo em atividade no mundo. O grupo surgiu na Mooca em 1943, na casa de Arnaldo Rosa, na Avenida Cassandoca. Desde então, gravou sessenta discos, vendeu mais de 10 milhões de cópias e é um dos responsáveis pela popularização do sotaque típico atribuído aos moradores da região.
