Criadores do BPC (Beatles Para Crianças), os arte-educadores Fábio Freire e Gabriel Manetti creditam o sucesso do grupo ao fato de terem elaborado um show que nasceu nas escolas e só foi para os palcos em seguida. “Não levamos um repertório pronto para o teatro – pensamos em histórias, abordagens e narrativas que pudessem agradar as crianças”, afirma Fábio.
No segundo show do grupo – cinco músicos e arte-educadores que já estão em estúdio gravando seu segundo CD – os recursos estão ainda mais amarrados entre si: músicas, histórias, projeções, brincadeiras e a interação com a plateia estão todos conectados, garantindo uma experiência completa às crianças.
“Não são só as músicas – o grande barato desse show é juntarmos os hits dos Beatles com as histórias que criamos e a interação com a criançada”, conta Fábio. Entre as brincadeiras, haverá um concurso de Twist (estilo de dança norte-americana que será ensinada na hora) ao som de Love me Do com prêmio para o vencedor e também um pulômetro que mede a empolgação da criançada. Ao alcançar o nível máximo, a banda apresenta Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da. Para apresentar Octopus Garden, o grupo conta ao público a história de um polvo roqueiro que vive no fundo do mar e tem um instrumento para cada tentáculo.
As crianças também serão apresentadas a novos e diferentes instrumentos musicais, tais como banjo, tambor de língua, gaita, sanfona, escaleta e outros. Também estão no repertório Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, She Loves You e Octopus Garden, entre outras.
